Thermaltake H700 TG Snow Case Review

A Look Inside

With the main side panel removed from the case we can get a look inside. There is a pretty standard 2 compartment design with the top compartment for our motherboard and expansion cards and the bottom compartment for our power supply and storage.

There are a few things that definitely stand out once we took a look inside though. The first thing is the GPU support bracket, which can be adjusted left or right as well as up and down to fit longer graphics cards. It has rubber on the parts that will touch your graphics card.

Towards the front of the case there are two hard drive trays. These trays support either a single 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch hard drive and they also are lined with a thick foam to cut down on vibrations. These are installed in a part of the case that actually will support up to 7 of these trays, so you can easily move the trays up or down, or add more which can be purchased separately.

As far as motherboard support goes this case will actually support mini-ITX, Micro ATX, ATX, and even E-ATX motherboards! The motherboard tray does have the standoffs pre-installed and there are four large cable routing holes around around it with two of them having the rubber inserts installed.

The two main compartments of the case are separated by a full-length power supply cover. This cover does have a cut-out in the front so you can install a radiator on the front of the case. The entire top section of the power supply cover is ventilated and there are three cable routing holes built into it. There is also a cut-out in the front to show off your power supply.

Taking the opposite side of the case off we can take a look at the backside of the case. All of the cables are nicely organized by three velcro cable ties pre-installed on the case. We can also see that the hard drive trays that are on the other side of the case are held into place by thumbscrews.

On the backside of the motherboard tray you’ll find two SSD mounts that can easily be removed with a single thumbscrew. Moving to the bottom compartment of the case we have our power supply mount, which does have vibration dampeners built-in.

Also in the bottom compartment is a hard drive cage that has a single plastic removable tray. This tray supports either a single 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch drive.
