Thermaltake Level 20 RGB Titanium Gaming Keyboard Review

Thermaltake Level 20 RGB Titanium Overview

As I said this is one of the largest keyboard we’ve reviewed lately and I was not joking, it has official dimensions of 482 x 185.96 x 43.93 mm. We are of course taking a look at the Titanium edition, but Thermaltake also offers the keyboard in all black. The top plate of the keyboard is made of aluminum, which means you should have absolutely no flex in this keyboard. This is of course a full-size keyboard so you have a full compliment of keys, and a full numberpad.

The Level 20 RGB has a very unique design to it as Thermaltake has separated the keyboard into two main parts. You have your main set of keys on the left and then your number pad and other keys on the right. These two sections are separated by an actual slit in the keyboard and an RGB light bar. With most keyboard designs mostly the same, it is nice to see Thermaltake do something a little different. The multimedia controls are in the top right, you have a large volume slider, mute, stop, back, play / pause, and forward buttons. Also by the multimedia controls are three circular buttons, which are for game mode, lighting levels, and to lock the Windows key.

As far as key caps go you have your standard ABS keycaps. The legends on the keycaps are easily visible and Thermaltake has gone with a floating keycap design. Removing a few of the keycaps we can see the Cherry MX Blue mechanical key switches. The Titanium version of the keyboard is offered with Cherry MX Blue’s and Cherry MX Speed switches, while the black version of the keyboard offers those plus Razer Green switches.

On the top edge of the keyboard you’ll find two connections which are a USB port and audio jack. The large braided cable has a USB connection for the keyboard itself, USB connection for the pass-through USB port, and a 3.5mm audio connection. Having a USB pass-through makes it easy to connect your mouse, a flash drive, or even a USB headset.

Looking at the keyboard from the side we can see that by default it sits at a slight angle and the first three rows of keys are angled down, while the last three are angled up. There are two pop-out feel that allow for more of an angle as well.

Flipping the keyboard over to the back there are five rubber feet, which will keep the keyboard in place while you are gaming.
