Thermaltake Level 20 RGB Titanium Gaming Keyboard Review

Usage & Final Thoughts

I’ve been using the Thermaltake Level 20 RGB keyboard as my main keyboard for a few weeks now and I have to say I am really enjoying it. Being my main keyboard I am not only using it for gaming, but also e-mailing and writing reviews like this. Let’s start with gaming, if you watch our livestreams you know we play a lot of Apex Legends. Being such a fast-paced game we need a keyboard that is responsive as well as comfortable. The Level 20 RGB definitely is that, I absolutely love Cherry MX blue mechanical switches. You can say they are the same as Gateron or Kailh blue switches, but they are not.

On the typing and general usage side it comes back to the Cherry MX switches and solid design of the keyboard. As someone who writes a lot Cherry MX Blue switches just seem to be right for me. From the way they feel when they are actuated to the audible click, they really put me “in the zone” when I’m doing my writing. The solid construction of the keyboard means that when I am in a typing frenzy there is absolutely no flex in the keyboard at all. Another thing that is nice is the dedicated volume roller and multimedia buttons on the keyboard. I don’t have to minimize my game or switch windows to adjust the volume or skip songs.

This is the first time I’ve used Thermaltake’s iTake software and it does a pretty good job allowing you to reprogram the keyboard, create macros, and adjust the RGB lighting. It is not the best customization software out there, but definitely not the worst either. The mobile app is a nice addition as well. When it comes to RGB lighting you have your standard per-key RGB lighting on the keys, but they you have a light bar that goes around the outside of the keyboard, a light up TT logo and another smaller light bar that separates the two sections of the keyboard. This along with the unique design of the keyboard really make it stand out and it is going to look great on your desk.

There really is not much bad I can say about this keyboard, I just wish Thermaltake would make a tenkeyless version. Right now the keyboard is selling at our favorite online retailer for $139.99, which we think is fair considering the features of this keyboard. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Thermaltake Level 20 RGB Titanium Gaming Keyboard a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
