Conclusion
TP-LINK’s TL-WR1043ND may not be the first router the girls look at, and probably won’t take first in every race. However, it is a serious contender on all levels. It provides a fast and stable connection to all connected devices, an attractive admin interface with plenty of features, and the ability to install DD-WRT without jumping through hoops. Besides the TL-WR1043ND’s list of features, it only costs $53.99 at my favorite retailer. In a world where routers with comparable performance and feature set cost almost twice as much, the TP-LINK is TL-WR1043ND is a steal! Overall ThinkComputers gives the TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND Wireless N Gigabit Router a 9 out of 10 score.

Pros:
• Fast and stable connection to all devices
• Great feature set and performance from stock firmware
• DD-WRT is fully supported
• Super affordable
Cons:
• Media Server is a bit buggy
Hi, it would be nice if wireless speed tests were compared to other routers with similar feautures and price.
They have almost zero value, since environment does a massive difference, so you can’t compare your review with another.
It would be even better if we had dB (power) at X distance comparisons for multiple routers. And “how long until the antenna circuit burns out?” information

I’ve added some speed comparison graphs to our forums. http://forums.thinkcomputers.org/showthread.php?6-Wireless-Speed-Comparison-Asus-Trendnet-TP-LINK
All of the recorded speeds are from tests I performed, so the data is comparable. Sorry that it isn’t the review, it should’ve been. Hope that helps.

I didn’t record dB ratings at each distance. However for future reviews I will record power levels. Thanks for the feedback.
