When every device in your home is becoming connected to the internet it sometimes becomes difficult to get a connection to them. While signal over the homes existing electrical infrastructure is nothing new, the throughput speed hasn’t always been that great. Releasing in February of this year, the TPC420E2K or Powerline 1200 has a Gigabit connection, with speeds of up to 500 mb/s through the wires already in your homes walls.
The biggest change is the addition of a ground wire connector allowing a faster more stable connection. The Powerline 1200 still offers the same fantastic error correction algorithms from previous units, and is available in both a non pass through and pass through variant. This makes it a great alternative to getting a wired connection to your home entertainment equipment but will not cost you a outlet. The TPC420E2K is launching at an $80 price point. While the TPC421E2K which is the pass through model, is launching in March and will be available for $90.
