Final Thoughts on the TRYX PANORAMA 360
Similar, but different. That is how I would describe the lineup of PANORMAMA coolers from TRYX. The common feature of a 6.5″ AMOLED screen brings the lineup together, but the remaining differences provide options for builders with different needs. In the case of the PANORAMA 360, the inclusion of the 60mm VRM fan in the pump housing, along with the ROTA SL PRO fans and their cable-less design make this an option with a simple installation process, as well as performance to boot. A thicker 30mm radiator offers a bit more fin surface area for the fans to take advantage of, and we saw positive results when not only comparing the two PANORAMA devices we have looked at, but also compared to other brands.
The flagship 6.5″ screen does still tend to steal the show, and I think that is probably just fine with TRYX. It certainly looks great, and the wide range of included animations and customizations give you plenty of options before you even have to consider utilizing your own content for the screen. Now, some folks may want some additional flash to their cooler, and they have that option with the ARGB version of this cooler, but I think the standard PANORAMA line gives plenty of options when it comes to color (Black and White), as well as sizes (240mm, 280mm, and 3609mm).
My only real complaint is with the method TRYX uses to connect the fans to your system. The magnetic connection is very handy, but without any type of keying or even labeling on the fan or cable, you could end up with a misaligned or backwards connection. Outside of that, I think the PANORAMA 360 offers a great set of features, specifications, and performance. That said, I think the price of the TRYX PANORAMA 360 may scare some potential buyers away – $349.99 at our favorite online retailer. I think a lot of buyers are going to look at this price, see that there are no RGB fans, and move on, without realizing that there is a thicker radiator, VRM fan, and cleaner aesthetics. I think this is going to be a tough sell, and for that, the TRYX PANORAMA 360 earns an 8 out of 10.
