External Overview
The Zalman Z9 Plus offers a wide variety of features you don’t typically find in cases of similar price. You’ll notice the full black paint job, both inside and out, to go along with the multitude of blue LED fans and ventilation holes for superior cooling.

The front of the case is mainly composed of black mesh, but towards the bottom of the case there are two pieces of the plastic bezel that form a Z with the mesh. Towards the top of the front panel are three 5.25” and one 3.5” external bays along with a front access panel which features a temperature display, fan speed controller, four USB 2.0 ports and your standard audio ports and HDD activity LED.

On the access panel you will also find the reset button and above the panel you’ll also find the power button centered on the top of the case. Moving back a little bit on the top of the case you’ll find a small flat area where you can place items like your keys, CD’s, etc.

Moving further back is a mesh cutout large enough to fit two internal 120/140mm fans, but only one blue 120mm fan is provided.

The side panel has a trapezoidal cutout which is slightly raised above from the rest of the panel. Inside the trapezoid you’ll find a large mesh cutout which supports up to two 120mm fans, one being provided, as well as two small window cutouts.

The back panel follows your typical case, having your I/O ports, 120mm exhaust fan and two water cooling holes near the top.

Then the seven expansion slots and bottom mounted PSU follow. Both side panels are secured by two small thumbscrews for easy of removal.
