NVIDIA officially launches GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with GA103-200 GPU which is now available in China.
The GA103 was launched at the start of 2022 as the processor for RTX 3080 Ti Laptop GPU. There was news that it will become a part of desktop models and now it is being offered with three ZOTAC RTX 3060 Ti models.
All the three models released by ZOTAC namely : Apocalypse, X-GAMING, and PGF, are equipped with GA103-200 GPU. This implies that some ZOTAC cards have been released for the third time after the original RTX 3060-Ti non-LHR (GA104-200) model and then RTX 3060 Ti with LHR enabled (GA104-202). The point of differentiation in these new GPUs is the label. ZOTAC has added “X” to product names (for example RTX 3060Ti-8GD6 X-GAMING GOC-X).
In the RTX 3060 Ti with GA103 GPU, the clock speed or power consumption is the same, however, a new graphics processor has been added to the card.
The GA103 GPU is a 256-bit processor and possesses up to 7680 CUDA cores. Hence, the RTX 3060 Ti featuring this GPU has 2816 cores disabled.
These GPU specs have not been officially verified by NVIDIA. The size will be around 496 mm². However, the number of transistors has not been confirmed yet. As RTX 3060 Ti is being introduced with GA103 GPU in China, this indicates that this is a limited launch only for this market. As it has not been listed in other regions yet.
