A New Version Of FRAPS In Development With Windows 10 Support

FRAPS seemed to be dead, there has not an update for the popular frame-overlay, screengrab, and recording utility since February. Well it looks like the utilities developer beepa is working on a new update that will add modern operating system support (Windows 10) and have several software improvements. This will be FRAPS version 3.6.0.

In response to an e-mail from the guys over at OC3D asking about future support for DirectX12, UWP applications and Vulkan beepa has this to say:

Thanks for your inquiry. Our developers are currently working on the next version of Fraps (3.6.0) which will include official support for Windows 10, as well as other minor bug fixes and improvements.

Unfortunately I am unable to provide you with a release date, however we do hope to have it available for download from our website as soon as possible. I apologize for the inconvenience in the meantime.

So expect to see an update for FRAPS very soon!
