AOKZOE has officially confirmed via Weibo the upcoming release of a new gaming handheld. The company is preparing to introduce new products for 2024, including an Ultra version of its current A2 handheld, equipped with the AMD Ryzen 7 7840U processor.
While the company hasn’t provided additional information regarding the new system, two possible scenarios emerge. Firstly, the A2 Ultra might adopt the Ryzen 7 8840U “Hawk Point,” potentially replacing the 7840U “Phoenix” with similar specifications. Alternatively, the “Ultra” designation could indicate the utilization of the Intel Core Ultra series. Considering the retention of the “A2” label, the former scenario appears more likely.
If this presumption proves accurate, it signifies the fourth notable launch incorporating AMD components. The A2, which debuted in December, experienced a late specification enhancement, now offering 32GB RAM as the standard configuration. This adjustment was implemented directly in response to the launch of the Lenovo Legion GO, which is limited to a 16GB capacity.
Details about the A2 Ultra are limited on other social media platforms, except for Chinese Weibo, where the teaser was exclusively shared. As soon as we gather more information, we’ll promptly provide an update.
