ABKONCORE CT404B Dual Sync CPU Cooler Overview
Before we put the fans on the CT404B Dual Sync lets take a look at the heatsink itself. This heatsink has a tower-type design and features an aluminum fin stack. ABKONCORE has painted the entire heatsink black. The fins are spaced out pretty well, which should allow for good airflow. For those wondering about height the heatsink is 157 mm tall.
The two included 120 mm fans easily attached to each side of the CT404B Dual Sync because of the bracket system, which is pre-installed on each fan. So installation of the fans is completely tool-less. With both fans installed the CT404B Dual Sync is decently large, but definitely not the largest air cooler we’ve seen. The included fans are ABKONCORE’s HR120’s which spin between 800 – 1800 RPM with an airflow of 50.2 CFM and a noise level of 33 dBA.
One thing I really like about the design of the fans is that the rear fan still looks great. ABKONCORE has designed it so you still get the logo and RGB ring showing out. So many times with dual fans the rear fans is backwards and does not look all that great. With both fans installed you can see how the bracket system works, basically the fans clip right on to the heatsink.
At the top of the cooler there is a small ABKONCORE logo on the top heatsink fin which will of course show out if you have a side panel window in your system.
Moving down to the base of the cooler there are four 6 mm thick copper heatpipes, which go up into the heatsink in a “U” fashion. These heatpipes are direct-touch so they will make direct contact with your CPU, which should provide for better heat transfer.
