ABKONCORE CT404B Dual Sync CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

As I said at the beginning of this review ABKONCORE is a new company to us and I have to say they’ve done a lot of things right with the CT404B Dual Sync even compared to companies that have been making CPU coolers for decades. The most important thing is of course performance. The CT404B Dual Sync sits towards the higher-end of our test group, which is pretty impressive considering the thinner heatsink. I think a lot of the performance has to do with the dual-fan design.

When you add dual fans you could possibly add more noise, but the CT404B Dual Sync is pretty quiet, even compared to some of the single-fan coolers we’ve tested! The best part of the fans is how awesome they look! Each of the fans feature an RGB ring on the frame, RGBs in the center, and even an ABKONCORE logo that lights up. One thing I really like is that ABKONCORE has designed the rear fan to offer the same RGB elements. Typically when we see dual fans we see the rear fan have to be turned backwards and just look weird in a push-pull setup. You don’t get that here, you’ll get awesome RGB lighting on both sides! The only downside to the RGB lighting is that ABKONCORE does not include an RGB controller with the fans. You’ll need to have a 3-pin addressable header on your motherboard.

Installation is also very important when it comes to a CPU cooler. The CT404B Dual Sync is quite easy to install, we did not run into any issues when it came to AM4 installation. The fan brackets make it super easy to take the fans off and put them back on during installation. The included thermal paste comes in a small bag rather than a syringe, which was a little odd.

Overall I think you’ll be very happy with the CT404B Dual Sync and it is going to look great in your system too! Right now you can pick it up at our favorite online retailer for $54.99. ThinkComputers gives the ABKONCORE CT404B Dual Sync CPU Cooler a 9 out of 10 score!
