Xtreme S2 Overview
The Xtreme S2 looks much like other Bluetooth portable speakers we have reviewed in the past. It has a rectangular shape and is mostly made of plastic. We received the “SB2” version of the unit, which is black. It also comes in a “S2L” version which is light blue.
On the front of the unit you have your speakers and a placard that has the Adesso logo on it, but for some reason my camera washed it out in the photos that I took. Adesso says the Xtreme S2 features Double Bass Subwoofer technology that is dedicated to the reproduction of low-pitched audio frequencies.
At the top of the Xtreme S2 is where you are going to find all of your controls. You have back, forward, volume up, volume down and a center button that is used to power the device on, off, answer calls and to pair the device. There are also two small holes that you see that house your indication LEDs.
The back of the Xtreme S2 looks much like the front, but has a small micro USB connection for charging the device.
On the bottom of the device there is a large rubber base that will keep the Xtreme S2 from moving it around wherever you happen to place it.
