Amazon Basics CPU Cooler Overview
The Amazon Basics CPU cooler is quite small, probably one of the smallest tower coolers I’ve ever reviewed. The official dimensions are 4.02″L x 3.28″W x 4.96″H.
Starting at the front we have our fan, which is 92mm unit that is listed as model: DF0922512RFHN. This fan will spin between 600 – 2000 RPM with a max airflow of 34.73 CFM, max air pressure of 1.86 mm H2O, and max noise level of 30 dBA. The fan has a black glossy frame with clear blades, which will reflect the RGB lighting embedded in the fan.
Looking at the cooler from the side we can see that it is a single-tower cooler and the fan uses a clip-on design, which is far easier to work with compared for fan clips. If you are wondering how tall the cooler is, it is 5.35-inches tall or about 135mm. Being this small this cooler is going to fit in all mid-tower cases and quite a lot of small form factor systems.
Moving around to the back we can see the stacked fin design of the heatsink. It is made up of 40 aluminum fans and of course we have our heatpipes going up through it.
The top of the cooler is capped off with the heatpipes protruding through the top cap. The top of the cooler was noticeably dirty, which was a bit odd for a new product.
Coming up from the base of the cooler are four copper heatpipes. These go up into the heatsink in a “U” fashion, which is pretty standard when it comes to tower coolers. These heatipes will make direct contact with your CPU for the best thermal transfer.
