AMD Pushing Back 3rd Generation Ryzen Threadripper Announcement to November 7th?

Well all knew that AMD would be announcing their 3rd generation Ryzen Threadripper HEDT processors this month. Many sources pointed to a November 5th announcement, but apparently that has been pushed back to the 7th. AMD is expected to announce three Threadripper SKUs, the 3960X, 3970X and 3990X. At this time motherboard makers will be able to unveil their TRX40 motherboards. Looking at the slide below, which did confirm the November 5th date it now says “dates no longer valid” and VideoCardz says this is from a credible source.

AMD Threadripper 3000 NDA

It is unclear why AMD would delay this announcement / launch just two days. There could be various reasons, driver / BIOS issues, review samples not getting there yet, or just even simple logistics. We do hope this is the only delay we see with 3rd Generation Ryzen Threadripper as from what we’ve seen these are going to be some pretty awesome processors!
