AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT is Slower Than RX 5700 XT When it Comes to Ethereum Mining

According to the recent reports by Cryptomining Blog, the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will offer almost 43 MH/s hash rate in Ethereum mining which is quite less compared to the predecessor, RX 5700 XT. As per the public statistic available at Minerstat, the RX 5700 provides an Ethereum mining rate of 54.3 MH/s, give or take, hence the RX 5700 XT is around 25% faster in mining than RX 6700 XT.

Moreover, 3 days ago, TweakTown reported that they were able to get a 40 MH/s mining power on RX 6700 XT, which is quite close to the figure reported by Cryptomining Blog.

When operating at the stock setting, the RX 6800/6900 XT series can offer an Ethereum mining rate of 60 MH/s, and the RTX 3060, on the other hand, offers a mining rate of up to around 50 MH/s. Modifications like Power blocking and memory overclocking can improve card performance. As per Cryptomining Blog, The RX 6700 XT optimizations bump up the mining rate to almost 48 MH/s, but still, then it isn’t the best choice for mining.

Cryptomining Blog has also claimed that RX 6700 XT can offer similar performance to RTX 3060 in Ravencoin mining. The reason behind this is that NVIDIA did not block the Ravencoin algorithm on their RTX 3060. It is also said that if there was no mining limit on RTX 3060, it would offer the same mining rate on alt-coins.
