AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT Discounted To $479

The price of the Radeon RX 7700 XT was recently lowered, much to the delight of gamers. However, AMD appears to have neglected to adjust the pricing for its RX 7800 XT model. This oversight might be because AMD felt no urgency, considering the strong sales performance of the 7800 XT, especially when compared to the scaled-back 7700 XT model.

The RX 7800 XT briefly appeared at $480 a few weeks ago, but this price didn’t last. ASRock, known for its role in reducing prices for Radeon GPUs, has managed to decrease margins to match the $480 price point.

Presently, two major retailers are selling the identical dual-fan Challenger model for $479.99 each. Both retailers provide $10 discounts that can be applied during checkout. This remains the lowest price yet for this model. ASRock offers two additional models, namely the Steel Legend and Phantom Gaming, both boasting triple-fan designs. The Challenger model, while not the top-tier option in the lineup, doesn’t claim to be, as it lacks factory overclocking features.

The RX 7800 XT comes with a complete Navi 32 GPU and 16GB of VRAM, which is an improvement over the 12GB found in the RX 7700 XT SKU. The latter is now frequently priced at $419, indicating a significant increase in the gap between both models.
