Sapphire has reduced the cost of its PULSE model, featuring the Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU, to $699. While the card has seen previous price drops, this marks the first opportunity for US residents to avail this online offer. The last instance occurred in June, exclusively through the MicroCenter pickup option.
Last month, AMD reduced the cost of the Radeon RX 7900 XT GPU to $749. Retailers and crucially, board partners promptly adjusted by trimming their margins to $709 in response to the price cut. Predictably, it was only a matter of time before witnessing the price once again dipping below the $700 threshold.
Powered by the Navi 31 GPU and featuring 5376 Stream Processors, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT was released in December 2022 with an initial price of $899. The recent price modification occurred shortly after the introduction of NVIDIA’s RTX 4080 SUPER, equipped with 16GB of memory.
The RX 7900 XT stands out with its significant advantage of a larger 20GB memory capacity and a considerably reduced price (now by $300). It exhibits only a 10 to 15% lower performance in most gaming benchmarks. Additionally, at this price point, it is $100 more affordable than the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER, which, as per reviews, delivers comparable performance to the RX 7900XT in most games.
