AMD To Release Radeon RX 3090 XT in 2020 for $499

AMD Navi rumors have been flying around this week, the latest gives us purported specifications, card names, and even pricing. As we always say take all of this information with a grain of salt.

According to a source close to TweakTown AMD will be detailing their new Navi-based Radeon graphics cards at E3 2019, which takes place just over a week after Computex 2019, where AMD will unveil its new Zen 2-based Ryzen 3000 series CPUs.

AMD’s flagship graphics card will be the Radeon RX 3090 XT, which shows that AMD will continue its 3000-series products from the Ryzen 3000 series into Radeon RX 3000 series cards. The Radeon RX 3090 XT will be based on the Navi 20 GPU and will not be here till 2020. The chip will have 64 compute units and up to 16GB of GDDR6 memory with 10% more performance than the Radeon VII for $499. Keep in mind all of this is “leaked” specs so nothing here is concrete.

If this information turns out to be true AMD will once again be facing an uphill battle against NVIDIA. The RTX 2080 Ti will still be on the market and have better performance than the Radeon RX 3090 XT, not to mention NVIDIA’s 7nm refresh and new Ampere GPU architecture are around the corner.
