Anker Announces Its First 3D Printer With An AI Camera

Anker already has a long list of products on its radar including power banks, chargers for phones, cables, and other accessories. However, it is this newest addition to its already extensive portfolio that will surprise many. Anker is crowdfunding a 3D printer on Kickstarter and apparently, it will be quite a big deal. One of the most important highlights is the five-fold increase in print speeds as opposed to all other competitors in the market.

However, this is merely a Kickstarter project and there will be many risks involved for obvious reasons. Anker enjoys a good repute in the market hence this shouldn’t be such a big deal. This is why many investors found it safe and the project has already attracted funding of more than $1.5 million on the very first day. It is not just the good name of the company that has attracted this hefty sum, the M5 appears to have many attractive specs.

As mentioned earlier, the highlight is speed. On top of this, Anker claims that the M5 will cut 3D print times by 70 percent at a print speed of 250mm/s. The M5 is an out of the box solution. Users will not need to worry about changing settings to get the most out of the performance. All you have to do is turn on the printer and let it do its magic. The biggest one is speed. Anker boldly claims the M5 drastically cuts 3D print times by 70 percent with a print speed of 250mm/s. That’s an out-of-the-box claim, too, as opposed to requiring that the user tinker and optimize a bunch of settings to achieve peak performance. Just put it together, turn it on, and watch those prints fly.

In Anker’s words, “You’ll achieve high-speed precision thanks to PowerBoost, which optimizes power with its Y-axis transmission system. PowerBoost uses a powerful stepper motor, double-belt driveshaft, and stabilized-motion algorithm to push out loads of extra power for high-speed printing,” It sounds quite exciting and promising at the same time but Anker has assured that the high quality is matched with a high price tag. The AnkerMate M5 3D printer has a $749 MSRP.
