Overview
This is a refurbished unit, but the front of it did not have any scratches or blemishes at all. As I mentioned this is the 3rd generation of the iPod Nano. The 2 previous versions of the Nano had longer candy bar bodies whereas this version has a more square body and larger screen. One the front is the famous scroll wheel, which you use to control the iPod. The front of the iPod Nano is made of Aluminum.
Flipping the iPod over we have the ever popular mirror-like silver back, which is made out of stainless steel. There are some noticeable scratches on the back, not thing major that would make me not want to carry this iPod around. There are Apple and iPod logos on the back along with the capacity. This iPod comes in 4GB and 8GB capacities; we received the 8GB version. The 8GB version also comes in 6 colors (Silver, Blue, Green, Pink, Black, and Red), we of course received the black version. Along the bottom you have the dock connector, hold button, and headphone jack. Besides the bottom the rest of the casing is seamless all the way around.
This iPod is also very small, which means you can easily carry it around with you in your pocket. Its dimensions are 2.75 x 2.06 x 0.26-inches. Although it is smaller than previous versions it is heavier, weighing in at 1.74oz. This really should not bother people since it is so small. Here it is compared to my iPhone 2G.
