ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Phantom Gaming Discounted To $889

In late March, PowerColor reduced the cost of its RX 7900 XTX Hellhound GPU, making it the first time the XTX version fell below $890. However, as April began, these discounts disappeared. Nevertheless, ASRock is now introducing a price reduction for its Phantom Gaming model.

Although not ASRock’s top-tier SKU like the Taichi, Taichi White, and the high-performance Aqua models, the Phantom Gaming model still delivers impressive performance. With an overclocked speed of 2615 MHz (+115 MHz) and a sturdy triple-slot, triple-fan cooling configuration, this version packs a punch.

As the RX 7900 XTX drops below $890 for the second time, it seems this might become a recurring pattern. With 7900XT models now frequently priced at $699, AMD’s high-end offerings are showing increased strength. This enhancement can be credited to the debut of the GeForce RTX 40 SUPER series and the introduction of more competitive models within a comparable price bracket.

Presently, the RX 7900 XTX is available at a price point $110 lower than its direct competitor, the RTX 4080 SUPER. There are no significant GPU releases anticipated from either AMD or NVIDIA prior to the next-generation GPU launches. The only remaining aspect is to vie for competitiveness in pricing.
