ASRock has launched the industry’s first mini-ITX motherboard that has a total of 8 SATA 6GB/s ports (1 of which is an eSATA port). The 7 internal SATA 6GB/s ports support RAID 0/1/10. The new FM2A85X-ITX is a socket FM2 motherboard that is based on the AMD A85X chipset. This motherboard is going to make many DIY NAS / media center builders happy. Being able to connect up to 8 hard drives means you are going to be able to store quite a lot of data!
Also on the board you have two DDR3 slots which support up to 32GB of dual channel DDR3-1866 memory. A single expansion slot in the form of a PCIe 2.0 x16. As far as display connections go you have dual-link DVI, HDMI and D-Sub. Rounding things out you have 4 USB 3.0 ports (2 on the read 2 header), 4 USB 2.0 ports, Gigabit ethernet, 8 channel audio and a PS/2 port. The expected price of the FM2A85X-ITX is to be around $110.
