ASRock has unveiled their latest motherboard in the H87E-ITX/ac. This is ASRock first mini-ITX motherboard that features 802.11ac wireless networking. As you can guess by the name the board features Intel’s H87 chipset and supports Intel’s 4th generation core Haswell processors. The board has a 4-phase VRM and gets power from 24pin ATX and 8pin EPS connectors. There is room for up to 32 GB of DDR3 memory and there is a single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot. The mPCIe slot is populated by the WLAN card.
The 802.11ac wireless is provided by a mPCIe WLAN card that is based off Intel’s i217V chipset. It will provide up to 867 Mbps of wireless bandwidth. Other connectivity includes gigabit Ethernet and Bluetooth 4.0. You have six SATA 6GB/s ports and a single eSATA port. Audio output includes 8-channel based on Realtek ALC1150 codec and there is optical SPDIF. Display outputs include DVI, DisplayPort and HDMI. You also have 4 USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports.
ASRock will be shipping this board in about a week.
