We are back with our third X299 motherboard review. Today our board comes from ASRock, it is their X299 Taichi. ASrock has explained their Taichi motherboards as the best value for your money. So basically they try and pack in the features for the best price possible. In the past ASRock’s Taichi motherboards have been very solid and a great choice among gamers and enthusiasts. The X299 Taichi features a 13-phase power design, triple Ultra M.2 slots, multi-GPU support, dual LAN as well as dual band 802.11ac WiFi, USB 3.1, and even some RGB lighting. It is hard to find another X299 motherboard with all of these features in the same price range as the Taichi. Let’s dive in and see what the X299 Taichi is all about.

The X299 Taichi comes in a nice retail box. ASRock designs their motherboard boxes so they are tall rather than wide, I guess you could say this will make them stand out on the shelf. On the front of the box it says X299 Taichi and we have the gears which are the signature of the Taichi motherboards.
Flipping over to the back of the box we have an overview of the board going over some of the main features. There is also a specifications list and a list of rear I/O ports. I think that if you were at the store looking at this board you could make a decision on purchasing it based on the packaging.
Getting everything out of the box as far as accessories go you have four SATA cables, I/O shield, SLI HB bridge, 3-way SLI bridge, WiFi antennas, driver and software CD, user’s guide, and quick installation guide.
