ASUS Announces ROG Thor 1200W Platinum PSU With OLED Display

At Computex ASUS has been showing a lot of new products, one of them is their new Republic of Gamers (ROG) Thor 1200W Platinum Power Supply. This 1200W unit is said to be made by Seasonic, based on their Prime Platinum platform. While ASUS was showing off the 1200W version, it will be delivered in an 850W version as well.

Like many other ROG products the Thor 1200W is equipped with RGB lighting, which you can control with ASUS’s Aura Sync software. Another cool thing that this unit has is a small OLED screen that can display your current power consumption. This is definitely cool if you have a side panel window that shows off your power supply. The unit is cooled by a 135 mm fan and ASUS also includes heatsinks that attach to the unit.

The unit is fully modular and comes with individually sleeved cables. ASUS says that the Thor 1200W Platinum will hit the market in the second half of the year. No word yet on pricing.
