ASUS has officially launched their GeForce GTX 670 DirectCU Mini. If you have been following our coverage of the card you know it is designed specifically for small form factor PC’s with mini ITX motherboards. The card only measures 17cm in length as compared to the reference size of the GTX 670 which is 24.13cm. The card is the exact length of a mini ITX motherboard. This means your mini ITX system can have the power of a GeForce GTX 670 without sacrificing space.
Not only is the card shorter, but ASUS has designed a new DirectCU cooling system for the card. This new cooling system is made up of a copper vapor chamber placed directly on top of the GPU, and an aluminum heatsink. There is also a new CoolTech fan which has wide-angle powerful airflow. The card features Super Alloy Power capacitors, chokes, and MOSFETs are hardened against heat and stress, averaging 2.5 times the lifespan of generic parts.
