Usage and Final Thoughts on the ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Mini Gaming Mouse

Now this is the “mini” version of the ROG Harpe Ace so it is going to be smaller than your typical mouse. It will take a little bit of time to get used to, but I feel that it is not too small that it can’t be a high performance mouse. Also if you are wondering it is not the same shape as the original Harpe Ace as that shape does not translate as well to a smaller size. To me, for the size, this is one of the better shape design’s that I’ve used. It sort of just works for its size.

The weight just seems right too. At 49 grams it is one of the lightest mice that I’ve used. There are no quality concerns either as the mouse feels solid, it passes the pressure test where you press in on both sides at the same time. There is no flexing at all! So overall my experience with this mouse has been great. It does feel good in the hand once you get used to it and the pure PTFE feet make it glide effortlessly.

Wireless performance was good as well using the included 2.4 GHz dongle. Not all 2.4 GHz wireless dongles are the same and ASUS really does a lot to make sure latency is at a minimum.

Like most new ASUS peripherals you have the option to use the full-on ASUS Armoury Crate or the more lightweight Armoury Crate Gear. If you don’t have any other ASUS products I would definitely use Armoury Crate Gear, as it is going to use far less system resources.

Right now you can pick up the ROG Harpe Ace Mini at our favorite online retailer for $96, which is far better than the launch price of $129.99. It is worth noting that you will need to get the ROG Polling Rate Booster to unlock the 8000 Hz polling rate. At the end of the day if you are looking for a smaller high performance gaming mouse the ROG Harpe Ace Mini should definitely be at the top of your list! Overall ThinkComputers gives the ASUS ROG Harpe Ace Mini Gaming Mouse a 9 out of 10 score!
