Autonomous SmartDesk 2 Review

Autonomous SmartDesk 2 Autonomous SmartDesk 2

Final Thoughts
I have been using the SmartDesk 2 as my main desk for the past month now and I have to say I am in love with it! As I mentioned this is not just a standing desk, but an adjustable standing desk. This means you can move it up or down by use of the controller on the front of the desk. With this versatility you can start your day standing and then as you get fatigued you can move the desk down and sit. Being as versatile as it is means that no matter how tall you are you’ll find a setting that fits you perfectly. The controller is really easy to use and it has 4 different presets so you can customize settings for standing, sitting, etc.

Besides being an adjustable standing desk this desk is beautiful. I am so glad I made the choice to go with the bamboo tabletop, if you are configuring your own desk I would definitely go with this option. I also like that I was able to customize the legs and which “Edition” I received. This customization makes certain that you can design the perfect desk for your needs. For me this desk was actually smaller than the desk I was using before, but after using this desk I am pleased with its size. With a large desk the extra space just gave me more room for clutter,, with the SmartDesk 2 I actually feel more organized.

After using this desk for as long as I have I do have to say it is a very high quality desk made with great materials. I haven’t experienced any issues with this desk at all. If you are considering getting a standing desk the SmartDesk 2 is one you should definitely consider, especially since you can fully customize it. Overall ThinkComputers gives the Autonomous SmartDesk 2 a 10 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award.

  1. Looking at the manufacturer’s web site, it comes in different desk-shapes, etc. They see it as a one-user work-station. It could be used as a one-purpose, multi-user work-station. With multi-users, it can adjust to many different users.

Not mentioned directly, but probably needed, are castor-wheels with locking. This allows mobility, plus fitting with rooms, cables, and other furniture.

  2. Thanks for the review. Just ordered mine today. I only got the DIY business though. I have a table I can reuse as the top to this.

  3. Funny story actually. Miscommunication with the wife about what table I was going to use led me to have to call and cancel my order. Now I am deciding, based mostly on this review, on whether I want bamboo or not.

  4. I received my platform yesterday and my bamboo top today. Got it all installed and I love it. I do wish though that I would have gone with a wider top but my three monitors do sit side by side at least. Your review did help me to go with bamboo, much appreciated!
