AZIO Cascade 98 Slim Keyboard Review

Earlier this year we took a look at AZIO’s Cascade Slim mechanical keyboard, which was a 75% keyboard with a really sleek design. We really liked that keyboard, but many people wanted a full-size version. Well AZIO is back with their Cascade 98, which offers a 98% ANSI layout, so all of those who need a number pad will be covered here. The Cascade 98 will be offered in two different versions, the normal version is your standard size with normal-sized switches and keycaps, while the slim version has a low-profile design with low profile switches and keycaps. These keyboards will offer an aluminum top casing, wired or wireless connectivity, and some pretty eye-catching color options. Read on as we take a look…

Special thanks to AZIO for providing us with the Cascade 98 Slim Keyboard to review.

Opening the box up and getting everything out we have the Casecase 98 Slim keyboard, a keycap and switch puller, and a quick start guide. Our unit was supposed to come with a USB cable, but it was not present. The cable that the keyboard ships with is just a normal rubber cable, this is a bit of a let-down as the original Cascade Slim came with a braided cable. You do have the option to buy a coiled cable on the Kickstarter page for $12.00.
