be quiet! Dark Perk Ergo / Sym Gaming Mice Overview
Picking up the Dark Perk Ergo / Sym for the first time they are quite light, both mice only weigh in at 55 grams. Another thing I noticed right away about the mice when I picked them up is that they have a nice rubberized coating on them, which should give them a good grip when gaming.
The Dark Perk Sym and Dark Perk Ergo have a very similar shape, but the Ergo has a raised left side. This tilts your hand and puts less strain on your wrist. The Sym version is a bit more flat with more room on top for your fingers. Both mice will actually be good for any grip style.

Each mouse has two main mouse buttons, which are powered by OMRON D2FP-FN2 switches. The buttons have a slightly concave design which allows your fingers to stay in place and be comfortable. In the middle of the buttons is going to be your scroll wheel, which has a nice rubberized grip to it. The scroll wheel can actually be pressed down and used as a button as well. On the front of each mouse is going to be a USB-C connection used to charge the mouse and use it in wired mode.

Looking at the mice from the side you can clearly see how the Ergo version of the mouse has a larger “hump”. Each mouse will feature two buttons on the left side, so these are going to be right-handed mice. With these buttons, plus the three on the top of the mouse you have a total of five programmable buttons.

Flipping the mice over we can get a better look at the structural design and the sensor. For pretty lightweight mice the Dark Perk series feels quite solid with no real bending or warping when I put pressure on either side of the mouse. On the bottom of the mouse you’ll find two large mouse feet towards the top and bottom and a smaller one around the sensor. Talking about the sensor we have the PixArt PAW3950 optical sensor which has a maximum DPI of 32,000. Above the sensor is going to be your power switch and then a small DPI switch as well.
