Usage & Final Thoughts on the Dark Perk Ergo / Sym Gaming Mice

I’ve been using the Dark Perk Ergo / Sym gaming mice for well over a month now, trading time between the two and I have to say I am really impressed with be quiet! once again! Gaming mice shouldn’t be a complicated thing, but it seems so many brands get stuck on the RGB lighting, weird shapes, or features no one seems to use. It is nice to see a no frills gaming mouse that gets the job done!

The Dark Perk series features a nice matte black design that is not designed to turn any heads and I actually like that. You can barely see the be quiet! logo on the right mouse button and the DPI indication LED is tiny and will turn off within a few second which means it is not going to distract you while gaming. If this mouse is sitting on your desk I don’t think anyone would even know it is a be quiet! mouse!

Beyond the look of the mouse one of the things I love about this mouse is the sort of rubberized coating it has. This really gives your hand a nice grip and after over a month of use it does not seem like this coating is fading any time soon. Having both a symmetrical and ergonomic version of the mouse was a smart move by be quiet! and I feel if you pick either of them you’ll be satisfied. I would call both of them a medium-sized mouse and each are also only 55g, so pretty light overall. One thing that I really liked if you planned to use these mice wired is that the cable connector is designed to lift the cable do you don’t get as much drag.

be quiet! also did not skimp out on what is under the hood of this mouse. You have the PixArt PAW3950 sensor which has a max DPI of 32,000, optical Omron D2FP-FN2 switches for your main buttons, and of course you get that 8000 Hz polling rate in both wired and wireless modes. Also even being a lightweight mouse the mouse felt very structurally sound.

If anything I would say because you have the coating on the mouse it can hold fingerprints quite easily. Also while be quiet! rates this mouse at 110 hours of battery life, that is significantly reduced if you use the mouse at an 8000 Hz polling rate.

Coming down to pricing right now both the Dark Perk Ergo and Dark Perk Sym are $99.90 at our favorite online retailer. Overall ThinkComputers gives the be quiet! Dark Perk Ergo / Sym Gaming Mice a 9 out of 10 score and our Recommended Award!
