It looks like Steam users once again are not happy with another game being exclusive to the Epic Games store. We reported yesterday that Gearbox’s upcoming Borderlands 3 will be a timed-exclusive on the Epic Games store and today it seems that many Steam users are airing their frustrations in that decision by review-bombing Borderlands 1 and 2 on Steam. Looking at all reviews on Borderlands 2 it has a “Very Positive” rating, but under recent reviews it is marked as “Mixed”. Looking at those reviews we can see a ton of negative reviews have come in since the Borderlands 3 announcement.
We are seeing the same type of reviews we saw on old Metro games as well. We’ll just give you a screenshot of one of them.
So as you can see gamers are quite upset. Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford did send out an interesting tweet that if Half-Life 3 is announced soon he “will use all the leverage and influence I can to get our game on Valve’s store as soon as reasonably possible.”
Crazy Earl talking: It’s not my call, but if Gaben legit announces Half-Life 3, I will use all the leverage and influence I can to get our game on Valve’s store as soon as reasonably possible. No promises, but I would go as bananas for HL3 as you all are going for Borderlands 3.
