Cooler Master MM710 Gaming Mouse Review

Cooler Master MM710 Overview

When it comes to gaming mice the MM710 is definitely on the smaller side. It has official dimensions of 116.6 x 62.6 x 38.3 mm (L*W*H) and as we mentioned it weighs in at 52 grams. The mouse has a nice matte black design to it.

One thing that you’ll notice right away with this mouse is all of the holes or cut-outs in its construction. This are of course made to cut down on the weight of the mouse, but also allow air to flow through the mouse. It is pretty cool being able to see the internals of your mouse through these holes, which are actually designed to look the Cooler Master logo.

Starting on the left side of the mouse you have two glossy side buttons. On the opposite side you won’t find any buttons, but you still have the cut-outs, still so cool you can actually see through the mouse to the other side! This mouse does have an ambidextrous design, but with the buttons on the left side it is really made for right-handed gamers.

On the top of the mouse you have your standard left and right mouse buttons with a rubberized scroll wheel between them. Right below the scroll wheel is the DPI switch button. The buttons on this mouse are powered by OMRON switches were are rated for 20 million clicks. If you count the scroll wheel click you have a total of six programmable buttons on this mouse.

Looking at the front the two main buttons are curved, which helps keep your fingers in place. The USB connection comes out from the center of the mouse right in the center. We can see that Cooler Master has reinforced the cable towards the end, which should prevent it from failing.

The 1.8 meter cable is made of Ultraweave material. This is my first time with this type of material on a USB cable and I have to say I really like it. The material is durable, yet flexible. It does not bend like braided or rubber cables so Cooler Master says you won’t need a mouse bungie with the MM710.

Flipping the mouse over we can see that Cooler Master has outfitted the mouse with PTFE feet. There are two smaller feet at the bottom of the mouse and a larger one at the top. Remember Cooler Master also includes an extra set!

At the center you’ll find the sensor. Cooler Master has gone with the PixArt 3389 16,000 DPI sensor. You’ll notice even more cut-outs on the bottom of the mouse. For those wondering about all of these holes and possibly spilling a drink that could ruin your mouse, Cooler Master has sprayed the PCB with a dust and water-resistant coating.
