Final Thoughts
Heralded as a budget-friendly case, the Corsair SPEC-04 Tempered Glass provides many features found on pricier cases for just $69. And while the majority of the case is a thin steel composition, the tempered glass side panel really ups the appearance of the case. And speaking of the glass side panel, we really liked that Corsair chose to add a black strip along the top and bottom edges, hiding a bit of the case’s frame that typically isn’t the most appealing.
The single 120mm red LED fan that comes included with the SPEC-04 Tempered Glass is a nice addition, but will definitely need to be supplemented with additional fans for optimal cooling. Even just another 120mm non-LED fan at the back would make a huge difference. However, with room for up to six 120mm fans, Corsair leaves the options open for completing the build with the fans of your choice.
Our build process was very straightforward in the SPEC-04 Tempered Glass, but we highly suggest taking a look at your component list when considering this case. The small stature of this case means you need to ensure your CPU cooler fits within the maximum size limits of this case. Power supply cable length is also a factor, as there are no cutouts above the motherboard, so be sure to keep that in mind as well.
Overall, the Corsair SPEC-04 Tempered Glass case is a great value for a budget build looking to add a bit of extra flair. The tempered glass side panel provides this case with the most updated looks, while the room for up to six 120mm fans will help keep internal components well ventilated. And while there are a few minor annoyances with the case, a $69 price point is very enticing for everything you get, all from a reputable, top-tier company. We give the Corsair SPEC-04 Tempered Glass case a 7 out of 10.
