Corsair has really made a name for themselves in the power supply market over the past few years. This is mainly because of their high-end AX and HX series, but at the end of the day not everyone needs a super high-end power supply. Corsair’s CS series is marketed more towards the typical user / builder who is looking for low energy use and easy installation. Today we are taking a look at the CS850M which is an 80PLUS Gold certified power supply. It also features flat modular cables and a 3-year warranty. Does this power supply hold the same high-quality and performance that we’ve seen from other Corsair power supplies? Let’s take a look!
Special thanks to Corsair for providing us with the CS850M Power Supply to review.
The CS850M comes in the typical Corsair retail packaging. Corsair denotes their different power supply series by using colors, so the CS series uses neon green. On the front of the package it lets us know that the power supply is module, has an 80PLUS Gold certification and carries a 3-year warranty.
The back of the retail box goes into great detail on the unit. One of the most important things is that it shows you the number of connectors that you do have. The ensures that you choose the right power supply for your system.
Opening the box up inside you will find the CS850M power supply, a bag of modular cables, power cable, cable ties, mounting screws, users guide and warranty guide.
