If you own an Apple mobile device you know one thing that you always have to replace is the included USB charging / sync cable. It seems that after just a few months they break or rip, they are definitely not made to last a long time. We know LUXA2 for some great mobile products and they have put their own spin on the Lightning cable with the Aluminium MFi Lightning USB Charge / Sync Cable. With this one last? Read on as we find out…
The LUXA2 Aluminium MFi Lightning USB Charge / Sync Cable comes in a typical retail box that is open on the front so you can see the cable that you are buying. Also many of the features are listed on the front.
On the back of the box there is a little more information on the cable.
This is a USB charging cable so there really is not all that much to go over here. The thing that really separates this cable from the one the one that comes with your Apple device is first it is made to last. The cabling itself itself is made of aluminum and is braided. That ensures not only that the cable will not rip or get cut, but also it makes the cable more firm. This make it easier to organize the cable and keeps it tangle free. The cable itself is 1 meter long or just over 3 feet.
One of the parts on Apple’s USB cables that always tends to break is the actual end of the cable where the cable goes into the USB connector. LUXA2 has reinforced this section with thicker rubber. Each end of the cable also is made of aluminum and the Lightning connector has the LUXA2 logo on it. The connectors on each end have been tested to withstand 3000 USB insertion / removal cycles.
