When you power your system on you’ll notice the modules light up nicely. The Capellix RGB LEDs are noticeably brighter than typically RGB LEDs. Since Corsair is using square diffusers it gives this memory a bit of a different look compared to other RGB modules.
Dominator Platinum Platinum RGB modules work with Corsair’s iCUE software, which is Corsair’s portal software for all of their products. Opening iCUE you should see the Dominator Platinum under your devices.
Clicking on Dominator Platinum RGB will allow you to configure the modules. You can set different profiles for the memory and there is a live view of each modules temperature.
The first thing you are going to want to do is go into DIMM Setup and set how your modules are installed in your system. You can select a 1×4, 2×2, or 2×4 layout depending on how your motherboard’s DIMM slots are configured. Another thing you might want to do is rearrange the DIMMs so your RGB effects are in the right order.
Now we move on to lighting effects. There are a bunch of pre-defined lighting effects, but you can also individually set each RGB LED on the module to a different color.
The next tab is timings where you can see the timings of your modules. Then there is graphing where you can graph temperatures of the modules.
Finally we have notifications where you can set notifications based on the temperatures of the modules.
