Lighting & Software
When you power on your system you’ll notice the modules light up with the default rainbow wave effect. You’ll be able to customize the lighting, which we’ll show you in just a second. The Capellix RGB LEDs are definitely bright and since Corsair is using square diffusers it gives this memory a different look than other RGB memory.
Being a Corsair product the Dominator Platinum RGB White memory works with Corsair’s iCUE software. Once you have iCUE installed you should see the memory show up under your list of devices.
The first tab is DIMM Setup. Here you can choose how the modules are installed in your system. You can select a 1×4, 2×2, or 2×4 layout depending on how your motherboard’s DIMM slots are configured. Another thing you might want to do is rearrange the DIMMs so your RGB effects are in the right order.
Now we move on to lighting effects. There are a bunch of pre-defined lighting effects, but you can also individually set each RGB LED on the module to a different color.
The next tab is timings where you can see the timings of your modules. Then there is graphing where you can graph temperatures of the modules.
Finally we have notifications where you can set notifications based on the temperatures of the modules.
