Corsair H100i PRO RGB Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts
Rounding out this years coolers with the H100i Pro RGB Corsair has reason to be proud. They offer a full line of products with properly aligned performance. This latest iteration looks fantastic, aside from the mess of wiring you have to route on the front of the motherboard, the RGB effects although somewhat dull are great. We’re still waiting for a version equipped with an RGB fan as the simple lighting from the pump really isn’t that strong. Nonetheless it’s a great cooler. It’s not the best 240mm AiO we’ve seen but it’s right up there throwing blows with the best. The build quality is great and installation is a breeze, this is one cooler that a novice could install. At $119.99 from our favorite online retailer, we can’t complain about the pricing either.

iCue might just be the H100i Pro’s greatest weakness. While it might not seem fair to judge the cooler by the software, it is sort of dependent on it to function fully and correctly. While iCue brings all your gear together in one place, it does it in a clunky sort of way. From not launching at startup to failing to launch the first time, I’m not sure it really wants to be used at all. Inside I found myself wishing for LINK again. It was easier to use, felt lighter, and the profiles made more sense.

Overall ThinkComputers would like to award the Corsair H100i PRO RGB with an 8 out of 10 score.
