Corsair H80i GT Overview
Removing the components we find included are two fans and mounting hardware for both AMD and Intel sockets. As is typical the unit comes pre installed with Intel mounts in place. There is also a mini USB to USB header cables included.
Taking a closer look at the fans, we have a grey and black pair of brushless 120mm Corsair branded fans. They are 25mm thick and claim a top speed of 2435 RPM, 70.69 CFMs of airflow, and 4.65mm of static pressure all at a max of 37.7 dB(A). All in all they should be a pretty powerful pair although we expect them to be a bit noisy at the high end.
On to the main event then, the cooler itself. What we find is a low gloss black radiator attached to the pump via fairly thick sleeved tubing. Both ends feature the same grey accent pieces that the current line up of Corsair AIOs are all sporting. The radiator itself is of course 120mm and has very similar, dense fin per inch count (if not identical) to the thinner radiators we’ve seen, but this one is a massive 49mm thick! With the powerful fans attached we should see some very respectable performance numbers.
From the cooling end we move down to the business side and the new to this line up pump design. This design as we have seen recently features holes in the top of the pump that the tubing goes into. Inside the holes the tubing is attached to some swivel fittings that allow the tubing to rotate. To the left of the inlet/outlet ports is a backlit Corsair Logo with a full spectrum of color choices. On the bottom of the pump we find a copper cold plate pre installed with thermal paste and a medium shine finish. This is of course protected by a large plastic dish.
Around the sides of the pump we find a couple of different types of connectors. The first is a mini USB port where we can connect the unit to the motherboard in order to have control within the Corsair Link software. The other connectors include one three pin power connector which provides power for whole unit as well as a 4 pin connector for the fans.
