Corsair iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT Liquid CPU Cooler Review

Final Thoughts

Just as we suspected, Corsair has another great product on their hands with the iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT. Starting with the CPU block, we find a tried and true configuration that has served Corsair well over the years, with little tweaks along the way. With 16 individually addressable RGB LEDs, there are limitless possibilities for customization using Corsair’s iCUE application. The 280mm radiator is one of the thinnest we have seen, but a good fin density ensures adequate airflow for maximum heat dissipation when paired up with the 140mm ML series fans. And while we do wish these were RGB versions, the light-less fans that come with the kit help to keep the price of this system reasonable.

Installation in our AMD test system was very straightforward, and the inclusion of mounting hardware for a variety of Intel and AMD platforms ensures that this system is compatible with a wide variety of systems. Use of the system in our new testbed resulted in the best results we have seen thus far, though it should also be noted that the other two AIOs that we have taken a look at are of the 240mm variety. The extra surface area provided by the 280mm design of the H115i RGB PRO XT gives it a definite cooling advantage over the systems equipped with smaller radiators and fans, and really shows how a slightly larger radiator size and matching fans can affect performance.

Corsair iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT

Using multiple Corsair peripherals as our daily drivers has allowed us to become quite familiar with iCUE, and both the lighting and performance control over the iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT was just what we were expecting. Easy access to lighting and performance controls makes adjustments a breeze, and the ability to synchronize the lighting across all of your Corsair components, and now even ASUS motherboards, is quite impressive.

Our overall impression of the Corsair iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT has been very favorable. The build quality of the system is top-notch, as is the performance. Three offerings are available in the RGB PRO XT lineup, and the H115i RGB PRO XT is currently available for $139.99 at our favorite online retailer. At that price we can’t complain too much about the lack of RGB fans, though the previously reviewed SilverStone PF240-ARGB does have both an ARGB pump and fans, and is available for just $99.99 if you have to have that custom lighting. The iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT really shines when added to an existing iCUE ecosystem, and earns a 9 out of 10.
