Overclocking on the Crucial Pro Overclocking Edition DDR5-6400 32GB Memory Kit
The easiest way to overclock on the Intel platform is to simply change the frequency divider in the BIOS. To achieve the best overclock we try to stay with the timings that the XMP profile recommends. If we run into any issues we will bump up the voltage to see if we can get our system to boot and become stable.
The XMP profile puts this kit at 6400 MHz. Without even having to change anything I was able to get this kit to run at 7200 MHz. After that the system either would not boot or would not be stable. I have to say that is pretty impressive as we were only able to get 400 MHz out of the 6000 MHz kit. Now this might have a lot to do with a new memory controller on the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K as well as the NitroPath DRAM on the ASUS ROG Maximus Z890 Hero.
