I’ve always been a fan of ASRock’s Taichi line of motherboards. These sit as the company’s flagship offering and while they are loaded with premium features, they tend to have a pretty reasonable price. With AMD’s latest 800 series chipset ASRock is offering both an X870E Taichi and X870E Taichi Lite. In this review we will be taking a look at the X870E Taichi which features a 24+2+1 power design, four M.2 slots, USB 4, 5GB LAN, WiFi 7, and of course that Taichi design we all know and love! Is this the X870E motherboard you need for your new Ryzen build? Read on as we find out!
Special thanks to ASRock for providing us with the X870E Taichi Motherboard to review.

Packaging of the ASRock X870E Taichi Motherboard
The X870E Taichi comes in a pretty standard motherboard box. It is actually nice to see ASRock move away from the larger motherboard boxes that they used to use. Those never seemed to fit on my shelves! On the front of the box we have the Taichi logo.
On the back we have a picture of the board with many of the features of the board detailed. We also get a full run-down of the rear I/O ports and specifications.
Getting everything out of the box as far as accessories go you’ll find four SATA cables, WiFi antenna, ARGB cable splitter, three Thermistor cables, a ASRock Keycap and case badge, and finally a quick installation guide.
