Crucial X10 Pro Portable Solid State Drive Review

Just like any USB drive all you do is plug the X10 Pro into an open USB-C port in your computer. When you do plug it in, it will open right away and you will find a Welcome Guide on the drive.

The drive comes formatted as exFAT and the 2TB version of the drive has 1.81 TB of usable space.

For testing we will be running the X10 Pro against other portable solid state drives we have on hand so you can see the difference between the drives. As a reminder Crucial lists the speeds of this drive as 2100 MB/s read and 2000 MB/s write. First up we have CrystalDiskMark.

Next we run the the AJA System test. It tests different types of video formats and gives you throughput results for the drive. Our configuration was 4K RED HD footage, 1 GB test file size, and the 10bit YUV codec.
