Crucial X10 Pro Portable Solid State Drive Review

Crucial X10 Pro Overview

Taking a first look at the X10 Pro we have a pretty small drive that has a metal casing. The drive does have an IP55 water and dust resistance. As far as looks we have an all black drive, which allows you to tell the difference between this drive and the X9 Pro, which is silver. On the front of the drive there is just a simple Crucial logo.

The X10 Pro is noticeably smaller than the X8 of a few years ago. This drive is actually one of the smallest USB 3.2 gen 2×2 drives out there, making it very easy for you to throw in your pocket for a laptop bag.

Flipping the drive over the bottom has a sort of soft-touch coating on it. This makes it really easy to pick the drive up and for the drive to not scratch up your desk. On the back it does let us know the capacity, which in our case is 2TB. Crucial will also offer this drive in 1TB and 4TB versions. There is a cut-out in the corner of the drive which will allow you to put the drive on a keychain.

When it comes to connections on the drive you have a single USB-C connection. As I mentioned this is a USB 3.2 gen 2×2 drive.
