CRYORIG M9i CPU Cooler Review

CRYORIG M9i CPU Cooler Overview
The M9i is one of the smallest coolers we’ve taken a look at lately. It has official dimensions of L87 mm x W102 mm x H124.6 mm and weighs in at 425g. Being small means that it is going to fit in quite a lot of builds.

At the front of the cooler you will find the fan that has the CRYORIG logo in the center. This is a 92mm fan which runs anywhere between 600 to 2200 RPM and has a max noise level of 26.4 dBA. This is the only fan on the cooler, but since extra fan clips are installed you have the ability to install a second fan on the back of the cooler if you want.

Taking a look at the top of the cooler it has a plastic piece that has the CRYORIG logo on it. This will show out if you have a side panel window in your case.

If we move to the side of the cooler we can see that we have a single tower cooler here. The fin stack is not that wide at all and is made up of forty 0.4mm aluminum fins.

At the back of the cooler we can get a better look at the fin stack, it is not that tall either. There are three nickel-plated copper pipes that come up from the base of the heatsink and go into the fin stack.

The base of the cooler is made of C1100 pure copper, which effectively spreads heat to all heatpipes and allows for increased heat contact area. The base has a nice clean finish to it with no obvious machining marks.

With the cooler flipped over we can get a better look at the heatpipes as well. The M9i features three nickel-plated copper heatpipes that go up into the heatsink in a “U” shape. Each heatpipe is 6mm thick.
