Cyberpunk 2077 Finally Gets The Long Awaited NVIDIA DLSS3 Support

Cyberpunk 2077 can now make use of the NVIDIA DLSS 3 with Frame Generation technology. In order to implement DLSS3 in Cyberpunk 2077, it took CD Projekt and NVIDIA about three months. A patch has recently been applied to the game that allows upscaling technology.

A 6GB patch has now been published for supported PC systems, allowing gamers with RTX 4090, 4080, or 4080 Ti GPUs to activate DLSS3. The DLSS3 employs Frame Generation technology, which is exclusively supported by the Ada Architecture from NVIDIA. The majority of RTX 4090 reviews utilised a pre-release edition of the game to demonstrate the advantages of DLSS3 in such an intensive title. However, no one anticipated that the addition of the technologies to the game would take so long.

NVIDIA just announced DLSS3 compatibility for six additional titles, all of which will be upgraded in the next weeks: Dying Light 2: Stay Human, HITMAN 3, Dakar Desert Rally, Deliver Us, Mars, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and PERISH. DLSS3 will also be introduced to titles such as Atomic Heart, ILL SPACE, THRONE AND LIBERTY, The Day Before, Tower of Fantasy, Warhaven, and Witchfire, according to NVIDIA.

NVIDIA has 50 games and applications confirmed to support DLSS3 in the future, in addition to over 250 titles having DLSS2 support. Cyberpunk 2077 is a brilliant example of how complex the DLSS3 implementation may be. The NVIDIA software team acknowledges that the game may not launch after the upgrade. This might be caused by modifications, so be careful to disable them beforehand.
