Dell launches Alienware m15 R5 With Up To Ryzen 5900HX and RTX 3070

After almost 14 years since the arrival of the last Ryzen based m15, Dell has once again launched the Ryzen variant of the Alienware m15 R5. The m15 R5 offers two 8 cores processors, the Ryzen 7 5800H or Ryzen 9 5900HX.

When operating at 45W, the Ryzen 7 5800H can achieve a locked clock speed of 4.4 GHz, while the unlocked Ryzen 9 5900HX can achieve a clock speed of up to 4.6 GHz.


The m15 R5 offers the choice from GeForce RTX 3060 or RTX 3070, where both the cards have TDPs of up to 115W with 10W of dynamic boost. Dell provides three screen options with its Ryzen based m15; 1080p display at 165Hz, 1080p display at 360 Hz (with G-Sync), and 1440p screen with 240 Hz refresh rate.

The 1080p display has a brightness of 300 nits, while the 1440p screen brightness measures 400 nits. The 1440p screen is also compatible with the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The Alienware m15 R5 Ryzen Edition will be available in America and China from April 20 for a starting price of 1795 USD. The release date for other countries is May 4.
