Edifier Hecate GX Gaming Headset Review

Edifier Hecate GX Gaming Headset Overview

Getting a first look at the Hecate GX it has a sort of plastic look to it, but don’t let that fool you, when you pick it up it feels quite solid. Edifier has gone with a pretty much all silver design with some chrome accents. This headset definitely has the gamer look.

Starting with the headband, on the outside we have a Hecate logo. On the inside we have memory foam, which should make for a comfortable gaming experience.

The headband does have a decent amount of flex in it, but is adjustable and had a metal frame.

On each earcup there is a “H” which of course stands for Hecate. This section of the headset will light up with RGB lighting, which we’ll see in just a little bit. On the outside of the left earcup is a microphone mute button and volume slider. At the bottom of the earcup are you connections which include USB-C and a 3.5mm audio jack.

Also on the bottom part of the earcup you’ll find the retractable microphone. It pulls out from the earcup and is adjustable so you can place it where you want it. It does have an indication LED on it to let you know when it is active.

The opposite earcup is pretty plain, but there are two smaller buttons. The top one will switch between music and gaming modes, and the bottom one is to control the RGB lighting on the earcups.
